Vientiane:More than 500 stalls featuring local products are anticipated at the 2026 Chomcheng Boat Racing Festival, which will be held in Vientiane from October 14-18.
According to Lao News Agency, Mrs. Chitpaserth Vichitlasy, Head of the Sisattanak District Office of Industry and Commerce, announced that preparations are underway for the trade fair. The event will gather businesses and producers from Vientiane and nearby provinces.
The exhibition area will offer a variety of products, such as One District One Product (ODOP) goods, model family products, textiles, handicrafts, traditional herbal medicines, food, beverages, household items, and clothing.
The fair aims to promote local products, provide market opportunities for ODOP producers, and support small businesses and model families, aligning with the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Organizers expect the five-day festival to attract both local residents and international visitors, who will have the opportunity to purchase domestic products while enjoying cultural activities and traditional boat racing competitions. The public is encouraged to visit the fair and participate in the annual celebration that blends trade promotion, local product displays, and traditional festivities.
