Government Recognizes Business Leader with First-Class Development Medal


Paksan: The government of Laos has awarded the First-Class Development Medal and the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Medal of the Founding of the Lao PDR to Mr. Uthan Tailith, Director of Lao Standard Control Company Limited, in recognition of his contributions to national development.



According to Lao News Agency, the honour was granted in appreciation of Mr. Uthan’s efforts as a business leader who invested personal funds in the construction and renovation of Sivilay Primary School in Paksan District. The project, valued at nearly five billion kip, aims to improve educational facilities and provide better learning conditions for students in the area.



The medal awarding ceremony took place on March 12, 2026, at Sivilay Primary School in Paksan District. The medals were presented by Sonexay Siphandone, in the presence of central and provincial Party and government leaders, as well as district and village authorities.



Officials noted that the award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and actively contributed to the country’s development. Mr. Uthan’s support has played a significant role in strengthening local education infrastructure and ensuring that children have access to a modern and safe learning environment.



The recognition not only honours Mr. Uthan’s dedication but also highlights the importance of private sector participation in social development, encouraging businesses to contribute to community development and help build a stronger future for the nation.
