Kim Jong Un Gives Field Guidance at Construction Site of Kusong City Hospital


Vientiane: Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, gave field guidance at the construction site of the Kusong City Hospital on Sep 8. He was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Ju Chang Il, Kim Jae Ryong, Kim Yong Su, and other senior officials of the Central Committee of the WPK.

According to Lao News Agency, the DPRK’s supreme leader appreciated the efforts of the builders for achieving significant progress in the construction of the regional hospital. This endeavor aligns with the Party Central Committee’s intention, which has declared this year as the first year of the revolution in public health. The committee prioritizes the construction of model city and county hospitals to rejuvenate public health across the country through determined labor efforts.

Kim Jong Un emphasized the importance of constructing regional hospitals as a crucial step in ensuring that regional populations receive medical services compa
rable to those in the capital. He stated that this initiative represents a meaningful advancement towards building a highly civilized and prosperous state. The public health revolution, conducted alongside the nationwide industrial revolution, is seen as an urgent task that will invigorate socialist public health. The effort reflects the state’s dedication to prioritizing the health and well-being of its people.

He further outlined that all systems and elements of the hospital should be integrated in a scientific, practical, and aesthetically pleasing manner. Kim Jong Un shared his views on key issues related to completing the hospital’s construction. He also highlighted the necessity of responsibly preparing for the hospital’s operation, given that its construction is in the final stages, and set forth tasks for its opening.
