Vientiane: Kokkok Mega Mart Phonsinuan and the Australian Embassy in Vientiane have officially launched the “Taste of Australia 2026”. This event highlights the strengthening trade relationship between Australia and Laos, providing Lao society an opportunity to experience a wide range of high-quality consumer products from Australia. This collaboration reinforces Kokkok’s position as a leading retailer of imported goods in Laos, showcasing Australian food, beverages, personal care, and household items.
According to Lao News Agency, the event, under the theme “Premium Nature, Clean Living and Authentic Taste”, was inaugurated by Ms. Megan Jones, Australian Ambassador to the Lao PDR, Mr. Niwat Dawloy, GCEO of Kokkok Mart, and Mr. Mone Phetphouthai, Deputy Director General of the Enterprise Registration Department. The opening ceremony was attended by senior representatives from relevant ministries and members of the Lao and Australian business communities.

Ambassador Megan Jones highlighted the robust bilateral economic relationship, expressing satisfaction in presenting Australian premium products to the Lao market through the partnership with Kokkok Mart. She explained that the event not only promotes Australian goods but also serves as a cultural link and platform to strengthen business cooperation. It provides opportunities for businesses to engage in trade activities and deepens economic ties between Australia and Laos.
