Hanoi: In his message, President Thongloun extended warm congratulations to President To Lam, who was elected during the inaugural session of the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam.
According to Lao News Agency, President Thongloun stated that the appointment reflects the trust and confidence placed in President To Lam by the Party, State, and people of Vietnam, as well as recognition of his leadership, achievements, and contributions to national development.
President Thongloun expressed confidence that President To Lam will continue to guide Vietnam toward progress in implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, aiming to build a nation characterized by democracy, justice, and civilization.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with President To Lam to strengthen the friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
He said the partnership will continue to deliver benefits to both nations while contributing to regional and global peace, stability, and development.
President Thongloun concluded by wishing President To Lam good health, happiness, and success in his new role.
