Vientiane: Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing recently participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Unknown Soldier Monument in Vientiane, paying homage to Lao revolutionary fighters and national heroes. The ceremony honored those who sacrificed their lives for Laos's national liberation, independence, and revolutionary cause under the Lao People's Revolutionary Party's leadership. According to Lao News Agency, the ceremony also celebrated the patriotism, courage, and dedication of individuals whose sacrifices were instrumental in achieving the historic victory that led to the founding of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on December 2, 1975. Senior Lao officials and members of the Myanmar delegation attended the event, which was conducted with full state honors. The tribute was part of President Min Aung Hlaing's official visit to Laos, marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations. The visit aims to further strengthen the longstanding friendship and bilateral cooperatio n between the Lao PDR and Myanmar.
