Attapeu: Four rice farmers’ groups in Attapeu Province received rice transplanters during a handover ceremony held on Jan 11 in Samakhysay District, witnessed by representatives of relevant authorities.
According to Lao News Agency, Vice Governor of Attapeu Province, Mr. Thanouxay Bansalith, emphasized the efforts of the Party committee and local authorities to support local farmers by investing in the necessary infrastructure to make agricultural production a reliable income source.
He explained that the provision of rice transplanters is intended to enhance rice production, especially during the dry season, while also aiming to modernize and improve the quality of commercial rice production in the region.
During the event, local farmers received demonstrations on the proper usage of the rice transplanters, equipping them with the skills needed to maximize the benefits of the new equipment.
