Students in Laos Participate in ‘I Love Vietnamese Language’ Contest


Savannakhet: A contest named ‘Em yeu tieng Viet’ (I love Vietnamese language) was held in Savannakhet province of Laos on February 21. The event was jointly organized by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Savannakhet, in coordination with the Association of Vietnamese People and the Laos-Vietnam Friendship School in the province. It attracted participation from more than 200 students spanning primary to high school levels.



According to Lao News Agency, the contest aimed to foster a love for the Vietnamese language among young students in Laos. The event featured various activities designed to test and improve the participants’ proficiency in Vietnamese. Various teams competed for top honors, showcasing their skills and understanding of the language.



The organizers presented certificates of merit and gifts to the teams that secured first, second, third, and consolation prizes. This initiative reflects the ongoing cultural exchange and cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, with educational programs playing a crucial role in strengthening bilateral ties.
