Vietnamese Prime Minister Visits Laos to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Vientiane:Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung arrived in Vientiane on Thursday, accompanied by a high-level delegation, for an official visit to the Lao PDR from October 8-9.

According to Lao News Agency, the visit was initiated at the invitation of Saleumxay Kommasith, the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR. The Vietnamese delegation was warmly received at Wattay International Airport by Lao officials, with a welcoming ceremony led by Bouakhong Nammavong, Minister and Head of the Prime Minister's Office of the Lao PDR. Other officials present included Maithong Thammavongsa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Phokham Xayasone, Vice Chairman of the Vientiane Administration Committee, as well as the Ambassadors of Laos and Vietnam.

The visit aims to further strengthen the longstanding relations between Laos and Vietnam, focusing on their great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic partnership. This engagement highlights the close and enduring ties between the two neighboring countries and their commitment to deepening cooperation across various sectors.

It is expected that the visit will contribute to advancing the Laos-Vietnam and Vietnam-Laos relationship, ensuring that their traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation continue to grow and yield increasingly substantive results.
