The initiative allows journalists from both countries to experience well-known attractions in Khammuan and Savannakhet. These provinces, which border Thailand, are accessible due to convenient transport infrastructure, making it easy for tourists to visit and engage in different activities.

The programme offered Lao and Thai journalists the chance to experience adventure tourism, eco-tourism, and lifestyle tourism. They visited historical and natural attractions such as Sikhottabong Stupa, Tham Phanong Pafa, Nong Pa Seuam in Thakhek, Phouphaman, Khunkongleng, Xebang Fai Cave, Xienglu Waterfall, Inhang Stupa, Ho Tai Pidok Library, and Monkey Forest.
