Thailand Introduces Mandatory Digital Arrival Cards for Foreign Tourists

Bangkok: Thai authorities have issued a reminder to all foreign tourists planning to visit the country that they will need to complete a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) at least three days prior to their arrival, starting April 28 for those arriving on or after May 1.

According to Lao News Agency, Anukool Pruksanusak, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office, announced that the Immigration Bureau is introducing this digital system for foreigners entering or exiting Thailand. The TDAC is designed to streamline the entry process and align with international standards.

Foreign travelers entering Thailand by land, sea, or air are required to register online at http://tdac.immigration.go.th. An app version of the system is expected to be released in the future. Travelers must provide various details, including travel documents, passport information, personal data, travel plans, accommodations in Thailand, and health status as specified by the Thai Ministry of Public Health.

Anukool clarified that the TDAC is not a visa but an online arrival card system. The TDAC website currently supports five languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese.
