According to Lao News Agency, Mr. Sililatthongsin emphasized the importance of the upcoming period and called on members of the administration to provide constructive and practical recommendations to ensure that planned activities are implemented smoothly and efficiently. He also urged participants to strengthen their political responsibility, offer frank comments on agenda items and documents under review, and work toward consensus while ensuring compliance with regulations.
During the meeting, participants reviewed reports on preparations for the rainy season, focusing on addressing flooding and waterlogging, and measures to monitor dengue transmission risks. The meeting also examined progress on a memorandum of understanding for feasibility studies in developing a modernized program system for the Vientiane Capital Administration Organization, signed on December 25, 2024.
Discussions included compensation assessments for land, crops, and structures affected by subsidence and landslide incidents in Thongmang Village, linked to operations by Lao-China Potash Mining Company Limited and Hyuy Yuan Potas Udom Somboun Sole Company Limited. Another report focused on compensation arrangements for a tourism development project in the Vientiane Canal Conservation Area within the That Luang wetland zone by Phou Luang Investment Company Limited.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of a land concession agreement in Phasouk Village by Vientiane Waste Management Company Limited and considered a proposal to establish a joint venture company to operate bus services between the Vientiane Capital State Bus Enterprise and Phet Aloun Domestic and International Cargo and Passenger Transport Sole Company Limited.
The meeting concluded with a review of the administration organization's performance in May and discussions on key priorities and work plans for June 2026, aimed at strengthening governance, improving public services, and advancing socio-economic development across Vientiane.
