Deputy Head of Party Foreign Relations Committee Visits Mongolian People’s Party Leaders

Ulaanbaatar: Deputy Head of the Party Foreign Relations Committee made a courtesy call on the leaders of the Mongolian People's Party during the 45th Standing Committee Meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Ulaanbaatar.

According to Lao News Agency, during the meeting, Mr. Vongsay expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the Mongolian People's Party and congratulated Mongolia on the successful organization of the ICAPP meeting and related events. He also reaffirmed the longstanding friendship between the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Mongolian People's Party, as well as the close ties between Laos and Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1962.

Mr. Vongsay provided an overview of the outcomes of the 12th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, held earlier this year, and reiterated Laos' commitment to further strengthening party-to-party and people-to-people exchanges. He also highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation in trade, investment, education, tourism, and digital development.

Mr. Yangug, representing Mongolia, welcomed the Lao delegation and expressed his appreciation for the visit, describing it as an important step in advancing the friendship and cooperation between the two parties and countries. He congratulated the Lao People's Revolutionary Party on the successful convening of its 12th Party Congress and commended its achievements over the past seven decades.

Furthermore, the Mongolian leader expressed his country's readiness to deepen cooperation with Laos, particularly through the exchange of experience in digital transformation and the development of e-government systems.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and enhancing exchanges within regional and international frameworks for the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
