Moscow: Russia’s General Customs Administration announced on Monday that the People’s Republic of China has begun to buy more metals from Russia, especially titanium, Vedemosti newspaper reported. The data indicate that the sales of this metal to China last year increased by 44 percent to reach 3,700 tons.
According to Lao News Agency, these exports were mainly deliveries of finished products. Despite the increase in volume, the monetary value of exports decreased by almost one and a half percent, estimated at 89 million dollars. Industry expert Leonid Khazanov attributes the rise in Russian titanium exports to China to the growth of sectors such as aircraft construction, chemicals, and energy.
In this regard, Russian titanium exports to China could grow by another 15 percent in 2025.
